אֲבֶן־שִָׁיְבָה   n.f.  magnetic stone

magnetic stone  LJLA.  TgIChron 20:2 : היא הות אבנא שאיבתא דסוברא ית רימוץ דהבא באוירא  it was a magnetic stone that kept the gold's setting up in the air †.

The point of the legend is that the crown was so heavy that it could not be worn unless it was kept floating by a magnet. The verbal part of the compound is Hebrew "to attract, draw out". For שאב-like forms in JBA see s.v. šwb vb. and the note there in DJBA.
